“This story began in 2024, when the Gaza genocide transformed my life overnight, waiking me up into the suffering of a defenseless people under attack. The crisis so devastated me so much that I interrupted my artistic activity for over a year. I was’t able to do nothing but following the situation day by day. I didn’t paint, some days I didn’t eat. I could barely find the concentration to continue with my daily work.
From the crisis, as sometimes happens, one first moves into a passive state of suffering, then it turns into activism and the desire to channel all one’s energy into concrete action.
I therefore worked to engage and raise awareness, but also to transform my work as an artist into support for the Palestinian cause. I decided to act on multiple levels.”

“I looked at the terrible images of the carnage of civilians and children in Gaza without being able to do anything. I have seen many artists die and often continued to visit their Instagram pages long after they passed away, admiring their art and their incredible talent and love for life and beauty.
I then thought that beauty was in danger of being forgotten in a place that was progressively transforming into a place of demolition and death.
The watercolor series was created with the aim of keeping alive in the eyes of people around the world the most significant characteristic of the people of Gaza: their beauty, their strong, morally incorruptible, dignified and courageous character.
My portraits celebrate this Beauty.

Hello everyone, my commitment as an artist requires me to do something tangible to amplify people’s voice.
