My pregnancy is going on and I plan to give birth this winter, we decided to name him after my brother, to honor his memory.
I moved to another camp in the Zawida area, near the hospital where Khader is staying. This camp offers numerous services, including tents, bathrooms, lunch, a children’s school, and, most importantly, a clinic within the camp that will care for Khader after his discharge from the hospital. It’s news that gives us a little stability for now.
The ceasefire is not respected. The night of October 29th was spent in fear of bombing and the noise of the planes never stopped.
Khader is recovering. And we managed to get him some crutches. His wounds were numerous and deep, medicine was scarce, and surgery even scarcer, but he is awake, alert, and on the mend. (He was hit when a bomb exploded near our Gaza apartment while he was loading their things into the street.)
In early October, many members of my husband’s family were murdered by an Israeli bomb in the Shati refugee camp in Gaza City. They are said to have been killed because their father refused to spy for the Israeli army. May they find peace in the afterlife and may the surviving family find comfort despite the horrible loss.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the donations.
